Billie Holliday
Billie Holiday is considered one of the most important and influential female voices in jazz. She sings with such intensity that, in many cases, was the result of a translation of her personal experiences into the song lyrics. She found the peace and freedom that she needed. Throughout her musical career, she managed to stand out as a singer, but her problems got in her way and she ended up losing herself. However, she will always be remembered as a unique female voice.

Her dress style
She participated with a lot of singers at the highest point of the Jazz. She is Billie Holiday, the woman who is the best jazz singer ever. In this photo she’s wearing an amazing, ankle-length, black, plain, silk, V-necked dress which is tight up to the waist but quite puffy in the skirt. A special thing that makes the dress unique is that on the belly it has black sequins which make it glittering. This dress is so sexy for that time, and she’s wearing it with confidence. Furthermore, she’s also wearing a pair of astonishing, black, leather, high-heeled shoes - to make the outfit more fashionable she is wearing some special and shining complements. On one of the sides of her hair she has an enormous, white, canvas flower which stands out the most in her dress as the colour of the flower. As she is elegant, she is wearing some gorgeous, rather big, silvered, golden or silver earrings and goes matching with a pearl necklace. She cared about her appearance and her clothes to give a good

As most jazz singers at that time, whenever Billie Holiday had a concert, she dressed very formally. She used to wear long, sleeves-less dresses and high-heeled boots, which made her seem very trendy and fashionable at that time. She also wore a lot of jewels, such as earrings, necklaces or rings, they were usually made of silver. The thing that stands out the most when seeing Billie Holiday’s photos is the flower she used to wear in her hair. She used it as an accessory to catch her bun, whenever I see some picture of her, this is what catches my attention the most.
image and to be an example. She succeeded and was one of the best voices in Jazz in history.
My favourite song of hers
My favourite Billie Holiday’s song is “I’ll be seeing you”. She actually didn’t write it, but I consider her cover better than the original one. I discovered it when I was a little girl, and my grandmother used to play music on the radio. My grandmother was a big fan of hers and every time she could, she would listen to Billie’s music. The reason why I love this song is that it has very deep lyrics. It talks about how you can miss someone who’s not with you anymore, but, if you have loved him or her, you will always remember the person. When I discovered it, I couldn’t understand the meaning but, as I grew up, I realized that the music of this song it’s not the only thing which is great about it.
